I'm using KX with a multitrack ap. I've been using 3 pairs of outs. I noticed though that in the drivers page for the app there are actually 4 pairs listed--0,1 ; 2,3 ; 4,5 ; 6,7. I did some research and found out that the breakout cable with the card does have 4 pairs of physical outs you just need this cable.

My problem is neither any of the EPILOG or K2LT list these other analog outs. There's only the :
1. Front
2.Rear
3. center/sub
Before I get this cable I want to make sure I can access these outs. The only thing I see that may be inline with wav out 6,7 is the out 6,7 on epilog that is headphones. That is an analog out.

It might be outs 30 and 31 on the epilog which come right after the sub output.

You may be right as in the I/O chart it lists 30 & 31 as unknown L & R outputs. Does anyone know for sure?

Don't know for sure as I don't have this card, but a partial answer.... a headphone out is certainly analog.... should be able to use that at the same time as the others.

That's not what I'm after. The cable that comes with the card has 4 outs available if you use the other addon cable I gave a link to. You then end up with a cable that has 8 RCA plugs. It's so that you can use old analog amps for 7.1. I need to know how to get one of the wave pairs to the other set of outs. In 7.1 they are the L,R side speakers.

Did you try outs 30/31? (That is the side outputs for A2ZS, but I am not sure about the A2ZSNB).

BTW: I do not think those channels are used when upmixing with Surrounder, so you probably will not hear anything unless the source audio is 7.1 (or you have a custom DSP config that copies the audio from other channels, etc).

You answered my question about the outs. Thanks. I'm not using surrounder just 4 profex SRC set for each pair of outs directly to k2lt. Do you think I'll get sound from 30,31 like this. Sorry to not be testing this. The reason is at the moment I have a successful set up for 3 pairs of outs. In order to get the fourth pair I need to buy that special cable. Money being as it is i don't want to spend $20 without at least an idea that it'll work.

I have no way of knowing for sure, you really need someone with an a2zsnb (that has tested the side outs) to reply.

Well I think that'll have to be me. Best thing to do is buy the cable and see what happens.

OK so I got the cable and at first things were weird.Once sorted out it worked great. Here's the situation.
Original setup:
1. Effects return 2,3 go to FL,FR
2. Drums, Kick Drum 4,5 go to RL,RR
3. Band 0,1 go to CTR,Sub
My reason for the new cable and the other outs 6,7 were so i could get the Kick Drum on a separate set of outs. When I got the cable I used SRC for 6,7 and patched to outs 30,31 as stated. What I ended up with is no Kick Drum and the Drums coming out of both Rear outs and the Side outs. I discovered that 4,5 no matter were they're patched to also get patched to the Side outs. I guess this is so if the source was 5.1 you'd still get sound from the sides. Don't know. Just a guess. I swapped things around so that 4,5 went to 30,31 and all is well. Now I just need to edit 200 songs putting the Drums on 6,7.
IT WORKS GREAT THOUGH NOW. HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Something odd I discovered. What ever gets assigned to outs 4,5 AUTOMATICALLY go to the side L & side R outs. There's no way to add any effects to these pair of outs. No need to assign anything in the DSP for sound to be heard. Seems to be mapped straight through the DSP.
Any Ideas?

this is a known DSP feature
if you don't output anything to corresponding kx_out()s, FXBus data gets redirected there automatically
