Wave Out HQ
Forgive me if this has been answered, I did search this forum with no definitive answer
I have an Audigy 2 ZS (SB0350), with kx3550 drivers, windows 7 (32bit) The "Wave Out HQ" device appears in the Playback devices ... when I attempt to use it as default, Windows goes through a "trouble shooting" phase, and ends up selecting a different device as the default playback device If I try to use the device in Windows Media Player, I get an error that the device may not exist Other media players get similar errors What is Wave Out HQ, and how can I use it? |

Re: Wave Out HQ
Hello everybody!
![]() Jaromanda, have you installed the driver in Administrator Mode? Its alvays better to install drivers in Administrator mode if you want to work them properly. In case you have not, reinstall the driver selecting - right klick - Run as administrator. |

Re: Wave Out HQ
You should use the Master Mixer in the Playback devices List.

Re: Wave Out HQ
Master mixer causes noise in Win7
SPDIF/AC3 is the better output

Re: Wave Out HQ
Generally, I use SPDIF/AC3 as default, I use Wave 2/3 and Wave 4/5 for my radio mixer (2/3 for music to air, 4/5 for PFL) and Wave 6/7 for Voip for callers to the radio program - this goes through a custom DSP setup allowing me to perform all the necessary mixing and routing on the Audigy for the radio program for 3DJ's with individual controls for PFL, playback level to headphones
so ... of the 6 playback devices shown by windows 7, I am using 4. What I use as "default" is irrelevant Quote:
My question is about Wave Out HQ ... the device is present in Playback Devices, however I get the errors as described in the original post when I try to use it I guess I could as a simpler question ... anybody successfully use Wave Out HQ in windows 7 (32 bit) on an Audigy 2 SB035x |
