KX3550 driver error
so. I have been using the KX drivers, absolutely love them when they work, but thats the problem.
I first noticed when I moved back to XP that all of the outputs werent working, and I had to manually rig them up so FXBUS 4 & 5 are my main sound inputs, and so my outputs on K1lt go to Outputs 1 & 2, and 9 & 10, and so my routing is 1/2 to Rear, and 9/10 is front out, (I ended up having to play around with this a little, so I dont think the K1lt is my issue) so, defaults and most other plugins dont work right. no biggy, I use KX for equilizers and crossover networks so I can run my own seperate amp to my subs and a seperate amp to my fronts with adjustable crossover networks. works great, love that. but the main problem thats really been hurting me with KX is one that just started happening for me about 3 weeks ago. every once in a while, my sound cuts out completely, and I get a very high pure tone on my fronts, and the sub line can get it too but gets cancelled out by the crossovers, telling me that the source is coming from my FXBus. if it helps, im using a CT3830 card. i've got another older soundblaster emu10k1 in here somewhere, but the 3830 was the superior of the two, so if I need to swap cards, I can do it. any help would be great! thanks in advance |

Re: KX3550 driver error
Not that I have an answer but a couple of questions may jog something.......
Which version of Windows? Also, it worked fine until 3 weeks ago.... What did you do 3 weeks ago? New software? Anti Virus? anything like that...... Something changed, try to track that down.

Re: KX3550 driver error
im using windows XP professional.
and the only notable thing in about 3 weeks was the installation of Driver 1, and Driver Parallel Lines, but this issue will appear out of the blue without opening either. |

If your custom DSP isn't that hard to replicate you could remove and reinstall KX and see if it makes a difference. Also with XP and an older card you don't need the latest version of KX...... I think 3545 is more stable..... (running 3545 on this machine and a few others) The latest adds win7 and more than 4 gig support, but nothing for older gear.
