Is it possible to change the output or soundcard names Windows sees?
I have four Creative cards in my computer (for 12 zones of multi-zone audio), and I am upgrading to Windows 7 x64. The problem is that the Windows mixer doesn't see the name of the kX units (like it did on my XP setup), but only "kX 10k1 Audio" or "kX 10k2 Audio". So several of the cards have the same name. Is it possible to change this in any way? The ideal thing would be if I could change to for instance "Bathroom" on one output, "Master bedroom" on another and so on. But anything that lets me separate the outputs from each other would help a lot. Thanks in advance!

Forget about it! It was a bit easier than I thought...
Windows Control Panel, Sound, right click on the one you want to change, "Properties", write in the new name and OK. Done!
