Hi i have been using Kx drivers and an SB0102 SB LIve 5.1 Platinum for at least 7 years and have had awesome Results using these drivers. I used a couple of different versions over the years and even used 3550 drivers i think but have settled on Driver release version of 3541 as i found it to work the best from experience.
My question is pertaining to the Driver Compatibility settings which can be found by right clicking kX Mixer/Settings/Driver Compatibility. I'm wondering if anyone can give me some specifics on what Dont smooth amounts does and if it affects midi input since i have a BCR2000 controller attached to my card. Also Pan and Balance, Multichannel Volume, What does Interpolated Source do? i know what interpolation is as far as audio goes but want to know how this affects sound in and out of card/DSP. Filter EAX requests is self explanatory i think. Here is a screenshot of what i have selected...http://www.hardwareheaven.com/attach...1&d=1291411756 I wasn't able to find any specific info on the meaning of each setting and what it does. Also I wasn't able to find anywhere to edit or create a SIG so Here is MY SIG: http://www.reverbnation.com/technoprocessor . Last edited by Chriscpo; Dec 3, 2010 at 09:35 PM. Reason: Added LInk |

"smooth amounts" this is for panning WinMM/DirectX signals. for experiments only
interpolation is on by default, this option is no longer of use in general, you should never change these settings, since most of them are very outdated and were only used for debugging the driver turning them on/off might produce unexpected results... E. |
