A2ZSNB & Win 7x64
So the plot thickens a WHOLE lot. I've ordered a new Lenovo laptop. Win7x64.It has an express slot. Assuming I can get the card working using this device:
Newegg.com - Rosewill RC-608 ExpressCard to CardBus Adapter All 21 reviews says it works flawlessly so am confident. My question isn't the device but the use of my card and Win 7x64. Do any of you think I'll be successful in achieving the same results that I've been able to do in XP? Using the special cable from Creative I have 8 separate outs from my recording software to my mixer now working fine in XP. I'm concerned about some of the Win7x64 issues I'm hearing although I think my setup is somewhat different then most. Don't know.I use wav out 0,1-2,3-6,7 via SRC to epiloglt_?. I forget the whole name. I've been working with E. some on 3551A to get side outs working in regular epilog. I just hope I can get it to work without noise. More info on my setup in XP & what I'd also like to accomplish in W7: I have searched high & low for an answer |

Re: A2ZSNB & Win 7x64
I finally got everything working great. Not much issue really. The adapter works as if the slot was an old PCMCIA slot. KX works as before in Win 7 x64. Sound quality is just as good as in XP. For the way I use it anyway. The only odd thing is that in my multi-track software I don't have Wave Out 0/1. In it's place is SPDIF/AC3 output. It is indeed Wave Out 0/1. In Profex I pull up Wave Out 0/1. Works just like before. The one thing I did have to change is a use UFX Reverb and of course there's no 64bit version. I just use a different reverb. No big deal.
