??? 1820M support

Hello Folks!

Actually I found this driver through a hungarian forum and wanted to check if it will run with my EMU 1820M card.

I'm in a need of 1 more input so I thought maybe this driver will solve my problem:
- I want to use the 1/4 audio ins on the 02/02 card, which are now disabled because the Audiodock is connected.

Is there anyone who uses 1820m with kx driver?

Let me know, much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Dave

Re: 1820M support

Your best bet is to try it out, if you look at the EMU devices Sticky, you'll see Eugene has been waiting on people to test it out so that kX support isn't only limited to old deprecating PCI devices.

Re: 1820M support

I've 1/2 tested it out. By 1/2, I mean I had issues with this card before I installed the drivers (hardware issue, leaky caps on the breakout box disabling all my 1/4 inputs on the back) Mic preamps on the front works fine under EMU drivers, but not under KX.

I have a fully functioning card at work I'll try it out on. I'm really excited because I've been using the EMU1820m as a realtime mixing solution with reaper, but from what I can understand about these drivers, I can put 90% of the softmixing I do in reaper, into the DSP via KX.

It's like everything I ever wanted out of patchmix (automation!) is in these drivers.

I'm a good tester, I got the prologue epilogue part down. I tried dragging every input from the prologue out to my speakers on the epilogue. Wav I got working fine, but for the life of me I can't find my breakout box mic inputs. I tried going an alt route (using the PRO SRC plugin, and manually going down the list of availiable inputs) Again, no dice with the 1820m front inputs.

Re : 1820M support

Hi, i'm using a 1820M with KX, works fine , i have ALL the audiodock's inputs working.
using Prolog, pinout :
0-1 in A-B ( front XLR with preamps )
2-3 in 1-2 ( 1/4 jack at the back )
4-5 in 3-4
6-7 in 5-6
8-9 optical or SPDIF in

the ProFX SRC modules provide only PC streams , no hardwares inputs , with the EMU series cards.

ask me for more informations if needed

cheers
