Sad How can I add echo effect to my microphone?

I bought a USB microphone for Karaoke. However, this microphone does not have any echo effect at all, and it make my voice really bad. I just use the microphone to sing with the beat in some karaoke website (not for recording purposes), therefore I just need the output sounds of my microphone to have echo effect (not the beat from karaoke website) and they should be well mixed.

I have had a look about a thread in this forum but dont understand what they're talking about. So if anyone can help me with steps by steps, I will really really appreciate.

Thank you very much

Re: How can I add echo effect to my microphone?

What version of kX?
What Operating System?
What driver is set as the default for Windows?
How is your USB MIC set up (e.g. what driver is it using for monitoring?)?
What driver is Karoake using (if different from Windows default)?

(Note: With kX driver, state which specific wave device is used)

Re: How can I add echo effect to my microphone?

I dont understand what you meant by kX?
I am using Dell Studio XPS 1640.
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate.
My soundcard driver is IDT HD sound.
The USB microphone did not come with any driver, I just plugged in and adjust the "listen to the device" and it works without any effect.
The Karaoke website Im using is flash karaoke (which have the beat only and the lyric follows the music).

Please help me. Many thanks

Ahh, I guess you accidentally posted in the wrong forum (this is for the kX audio driver).
I am not sure how you would add effects with other sound cards/drivers, so I cannot offer much help...
