no sound in WLM video chat?

I have been using the ct4790 recently, in my win7 x86 system with 8gb memory.

after installing the kx driver, I can get sound from most of applications. However, I just found it does not produce sound during Windows Live Messenger Video chat.

It is weird that, the msn audio/video setup are all fine, and I can hear the normal test sound, i can also hear the notice sound when friends sign in. just no sound in video chat. but if you look at the windows mixer, you do see sound jumps when the other site speaks. it just doesn't reach the speakers.

what the reason could it be?

Try setting WLM to use kX Wave 2/3 or AC3/SPDIF in the speaker settings, and see if that makes a difference.
