Microphone recording with line-in ASIO usage

Hello

My problem is to get a simple microphone record (guitar+voice). For guitar I use ASIO, AC97 source is set to Line In. But I cannot find any other way to record from microphone except setting AC97 source to mic. Somehow I understand that I need ASIO only for guitar, not mic. But how to make the record ?

If both mic and line in are mono - You can set AC'97 to source left from one and right from the other using the proper profx plugins

does that make sense?

Er.. guitar is mono, mic is too simple, so I guess it's mono too (joke, I'm a noob), and proXF plugin needs to be installed ?

ProFx Version 3.x
