44100 playback/recording on E-MU 0404 PCI?

Hi,

Now i'm back I had Audigy 2ZS with KX for a while untill i moved to E-MU 0404 and Vista x64.

Nowdays, i need to get bit-perfect SPDIF output on 44100, and be able to record external sources with 44100 too (analog only).
I've removed the patchmix thing because it hasn't passed RMAA tests.

So, to get EMU running on 44100, i need:
1. Change masterclock in console to 44100
2. Change sampling rate in windows settings (to disable windows's resampling).

1 is fine - done that, and got some sound with issues (dropouts, probably due to sampling frequency mismatch).
2 - i'm unable to change sampling frequency in vista, as it is grayed-out. What could be done? (fixing some ini/inf files supplied with the driver?).

PC: Intel Q6600, E-MU 0404 PCI, Windows Vista x64 ultimate, 8gb ram.
Driver - 3551 alpha.

Ah, by the way - some weird thing is going on with line input on 0404. It somehow works without routing it in DSP window. Anyway, i don't need to fix it if its not broken

Thanks for this amazing driver!

Re: 44100 playback/recording on E-MU 0404 PCI?

UPD:
Now it's working on 44100 with kernel streaming: no resampling, confirmed by udial.wav
I get resampling with Direct Sound. WASAPI won't work with 44.1k.

44100 recording works fine.

Now it's time to wrap the RMAA with kernel streaming Virtual Cable and run more tests.

S3T,

you are right, the driver supports 44.1kHz mode unofficially, and only for Kernel Streaming / ASIO. WinMM/DirectSound clients won't support 44.1 natively and will still perform resampling
