Win 7 x 64 Ct4760 HELP!!

Hi all. Been pulling my hair out for 2 days on this

I have kx 3550, ct4760 (Sound Blaster LIVE) set to SPDIF/AC3 as default, win 7 x64 with 4g.

Is 4 gig still a prob in 3550? I get my windows start up sounds out of the digital port but no mp3s or video game sounds. See the bars moving but no output!

Had given up on my sound card after win7 till I got a new game for bday and now am delving into Getting the SB live card to work

Found thread about disabling onboard sound that worked! But had it disabled in windows

Now my surrounds have horrible static but i have sound! Any ideas or direction to static thread on that.
