Virtual Audio Cable Problems
I'm having some problems with the above software (Virtual Live Cable) (Virtual Audio Cable Home Page)
You may need to download the full demo this and have a play with it. It's an awesome bit of kit for multi room setups. Basically it allows you route all your sound to a virtual 'cable' which you can then allocate to any output or multiple on different cards. I currently run a 3 card setup in my machine. The problem I'm having is when routing to my KX card no matter what routings I select it only ever outputs through the front headphone socket on the front of my live drive. (This then goes through the scart of a video sender to my bedroom). Can I route only the output from the live cable to any other socket on my kx board, for example the rear speaker socket on the card? All the sockets are unused on the back of my card. Is this a problem with the kx router or the fx bus. Been trying to work this out for ages and I just don't understand why it only outputs through the front mic socket. I assume I could use the fxbus to output to switch it to another socket but I kinda like my front mic socket, I use it for skype etc. Or maybe the routings are the answer. My first post here, hope its in the right place and someone can help. lo and Thanks Z |

Re: Virtual Audio Cable Problems
I am not familiar with Virtual Live Cable, but it sounds as though you have kX configured for 2 speakers only. Try clicking on the kX "Speaker Setup..." button on the "Main" page on kX Mixer and set Surrounder+ to use the "5.1 - Direct Path" preset.
Note: In kX DSP you can route audio to pretty much any output you want. |
