Strange behavior in kX Automation of 10 band EQ

My current pc audio setup is an Audigy 2 ZS platinum sc, kX 3551 x64, Windows 7 x64, Akai MPD-24 controller

Yesterday I figured out how to configure my midi controller so that using the program midi-ox and the kX drivers I can directly control parameters of the master volume and EQ of my sound card driver in real time for any program that plays sound, using knobs and sliders! It was working perfectly last night so that the 0-127 values produced by sliders on my controller corresponded to the min-max values for bands in the 10 band EQ. I had saved the automation settings as kxdefault, saved the midi-ox configuration, and the configuration of my midi controller is still all correct, however now the EQ is exhibiting strange behavior when I move the sliders.

When any slider is all the way up and sending the value 127, the corresponding band is set to 12.0 dB as it should be, but when the slider is in any other position the value of the bands becomes a really large number. For example in the 126 value position the value of the EQ band becomes 3381669.4 , in the 1 position the value becomes 426115060.1

Any ideas what is happening here? The midi controller is sending the correct and same values that it was when it was working perfectly, and midi-ox is sending the correct values to the control port of the kX driver. kX Automation is still configured to use midi messages from all the right controllers but now something is preventing it from interpreting the input data correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated, it was a blast playing with the EQ using tactile controls rather than clicking with a mouse

EDIT: I discovered that this bug only occurs after the computer restarts and reloads the kX driver after automation has been configured for EQ. It only affects EQ, you can assign a controller to epilog volume controls and after restart it will still work fine. When first assigning midi controllers to EQ bands it works OK, to temporarily get around the bug one can set up automation and the controllers to use a whole different midi channel than what automation saved in it's config before. Or one can completely remove and reinstall kX. Either way it will come back after reboot and requires you to manually change midi channels for everything again

I suspect the problem might be related to generic slider issue in kX found in 3550/3551.
Please re-check the problem when 3552 is out.
