Best Fully supported card?
I have a SB0400 which is partially supported, what am I missing compared to a fully supported card?
I am looking to do a whole house audio server with this card, but was thinking of using one in a car PC for time alignment and 3-way crossover + sub x-over (I could use the sub amp crossover for this though). Thanks EDIT: I have a SB0400, not SB0350 Last edited by plugers; Jun 21, 2011 at 02:36 AM. |

Re: Best Fully supported card?
I do not have a SB0400, so you may know more about it than I do, but (AFAIK)...
The P17v chip (Wave HQ) is not supported. I do not recall if anyone confirmed whether or not the digital I/O jack is fully functional. (IIRC) At one time, not all of the outputs were assigned correctly in epilog, but I think that has probably been fixed by now (have not heard about it in a while). That's it as far as I know... [EDIT] BTW: I thought I should add that different models have different capabilities, so (of course) there will be some differences just from that (i.e. unrelated to kX support). As I recall, the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum (not the Platinum Pro) is pretty much fully functional with the kX Project Audio Driver.
