DAC and ADC SNR of EMU10K1 chip

Recently I was told that to properly record a speech, you'd be better of with a soundcard like Realtek ALC889 codec, which has 108 dB output and 104dB input SNRs. Doing an extensive research, there is only a few motherboards with this codec, and they are very expensive.

I wanted to know what are EMU10k1 levels on this one, because instead of getting a pretty expensive motherboard, I was thinking to employ the EMU10k1 to do the recording. I have searched but not found any information on those dB levels of EMU10k1. I have a Live! card with golden connectors and other with coloured connectors.

There have been people saying that difference between ALC889 and a "Value" Audigy is "night and day" (on favour of Audigy, of course), discarding any potential from the ALC889 in practice. I may take this with a grain of salt.

But what now, where's that EMU10k1 information?

Any help on this would be extremely appreciated.
