Change sound blaster filters programatically

Hi

I need to change programatically the effects of a creative soundblaster live 5.1 with some kind of command line tool or anything like that.

Does anyone knows how can I achieve this?

Thanks in advance

Re: Change sound blaster filters programatically

Using the kX driver it is possible.

kX Console allows you to read/write any of the DSP registers from the command line, however, you would need to know what each register is used for, and the correct formula to use to calculate appropriate values, etc.

KX also provides a MIDI automation interface that allows you to control plugins using MIDI commands. Using this interface, kX automatically translates the MIDI values to appropriates values for use by the plugin (e.g. for MIDI CC's where the range is 0 to 127, a value of 0 would set the plugin's control register to it's minimum value, while 127 would set it to it's max value, etc).
