Alright, what's goin on?

After hearing people raving about these drivers, and finding what I wanted to do not possible through the creative drivers, I decided to come to kX and try to figure something out

I hacked my xbox's advanced AV kit to give me a straight TTL output to a pair of wires which I then put to my Audigy thorugh the CD_SPDIF card. However, I can't get it to decode the dolby digital. When using a normal stereo output the sound works fine, but as soon as I tell the xbox to turn on dolby digital (or dts for that matter) it gets muted; the status window, which shows V on boot, takes away that v as soon as a game starts...when the surround kicks in

any help at all?

Also, now that I think of it, is there any way to get like a vu meter to see what's coming out of each speaker? Just so I can tell if i really am getting full surround or not, cuz sometimes it's hard to tell...
