I just bought a SB Live 5.1 card to stuff into an older pc

3.4GHZ (Dual Core), 4GB DDR2 ram, Win 7 64 Bit.

And ready to pull my hair out. Tried Creative drivers of every flavor from their site , newer and older wont work, the driver i found on Dells site for their OEM 5.1 card wont work. Tried KX and Daniel K and everything pops up the same error. No SOund Blaster cards can be found. (tried in compat mode for XP as well for all the various driversl)

Device manager shows two entries with the caution flag
-PCI Input Device
-Multimedia Audio Controller.

package says - Creative Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Refurb REF: SB0200

any help in getting this thing to work would be much appreciated. That is if it can work. Gather this isnt a "true" SB live 5.1 card from some stuff i read. it has a software based chipset or something like that? and designed for Dell pc's?

Won't work. Not supported. Get a real live 5.1

j'ai moi-aussi un pb avec une sb live 5.1 sur un vieux pc dual core sous win7. Mais le pb est différent car le périphérique est bien reconnu et fonctionne normalement selon windows. En fait aucun son sur les sorties ni avant ni arrière que j'ai toutes testées.
si quelqu'un a une idée ? MERCI
