Error in Cubase SX
I get this error when using Cubase SX.
"Samplerate could not be set. This may be due to the sampleclock being set to external sync." Things are kind of slow and non responsive, but otherwise everything seem to be working okay. Ive got an Audigy(1) player. |

I'm still having problems with the latest drivers. I get the error message and and the program responds slowly.
For example, when I set the cursor to any place in a waveform and the press play its silent for a few seconds and then when sound starts the moving line stops and after a few seconds there in sync, hopefully. Anybody else have this problem? |

Ok to fix your first problem you have to open the default project file in cubase directory. You will get the error as soon as you open it. But once its open go to "project tab" then choose: "project setup" and there set the "record format" to 16 Bit and not 24.
Now go to file and choose "save as" and save it as Default_KX for example! Now whenever you open cubase, open Default_KX as your default project file. For the second problem (sync and no sound then plays etc): Browse to the Cubase SX / SL application folder (usually C:\programs\steinberg\cubasesx) and locate the folder "MIDI Port Enabler" - Open this folder - Pick the file "ignoreportfilter" and move it into the Cubase SX / SL application folder (one directory up) - Start Cubase SX / SL Once you do this all drivers (emulated and non emulated) will show up in cubase. Now go to device setup and in "default midi ports" set both in and out to a non emulated midi port preferably the default KX midi and not synth or microsoft etc. Save close cubase and reopen it and ur problem is fixed ![]() Also becarefull sometimes in sx you will see the midi port (in default midi ports) Set to a VST instrument you are using. For example : "sampletank or Halion" change it back to the default Kx (NON EMULATED) driver. Good luck and hope this helped! |
