Frustrated with AC3
Hi All
Very stupid question can anybody help me with capturing AC3 from a DGTECH DH200HA Digital HD set top box into a Audigy 2 Sound card running the latest version KX Project drivers I have tried everything from every forum but no luck so far.......have tried SPDIF / COAX the lot it just records a broken static noise....please help going insane Cheers Very Stupid |

of course it records broken static noise, because ac-3 data is not audio
if you wish to record it as-is (in 'binary' form), turn on 'direct spdif recording' -- you will get the data unmodified note that you will need to convert the recorded 'noise' into a valid ac-3 stream by using some utilities if you wish to record the ac-3 data as 'sound', turn on 'spdif-in ac-3 decoding' option and record 'what you hear' /Eugene |

Frustrated with AC3
If you are doing direct digital recording, you can play PCM wave files directly, but AC3 wave files most likely need to be fixed with BeSplit
