Analog multitrack recording using Audigy 2?
Is it possible doing analog multitrack rec. (more than 2 mono ch.) using an audigy 2 and the kx-drivers? My org. drivers/sw just mixes all the analog inputs into 2 channels.
I would really like having 6 mono inputs recorded to separate tracks! Someone having experience with using kx and audigy 2 for this purpose? Regards A Norwegian newbie and musician. |

Yes if you add an audigy drive or live drive to your setup. Than you'll have 6 discreet mono inputs (analog).

But this drive-thing might be expensive? Isn't it possible to use the internal CD-Line and AUX connectors?

No, it's not possible to use the internal cdline and aux connector separately from line in. You'll just record them together because the AC97 codec which they're connected to give you only one stereo signal. You can search for an used live or audigy drive in e-bay or similar service. I got one in Brazil, with remote control, four analog inputs, digital coaxial and optical inputs and midi (live drive IR) for U$90,00, but I'm sure it costs a lot less in other countries like the US.
