I2S_input on SB Live! Value, CT4670

Help me please!
I want use I2S_INPUT on board SB LIVE! Value, model CT4670.
I'm connect external signal to "I2S_INPUT".
I hear a restored analog signal in speakers but it has level -46 dB.
What in a problem ?

what is the source of the signal?
what is its sampling rate?
does 'kxctrl -istat' show any active i2s or spdif inputs?

I use I2S signal from CD Player "Sherwood" - 16 Bit & 44.1kHz

I have alredy undestood that all problem in 16 Bits.
