Problems Using Giga Studio

Hello...
If this question has already been asked sorry, I'm new to KX and this forum .. so ... let me start !
i've installed the KX complete package ... and almost everything works fine ... I can record, play ... and I'm starting to learn the advanced options , but I dont know why I can not get any sound from Giga Studio !
It recognizes the gsif ... but no sound comes.... tried chanels 1-2, 3-4, 5,6 ... and nothing ....
So .... I'd like to know if anybody could help me solve this.
I did almost nothing to kx since Ive installed that ....

ps: when I try to load any soundfont my computer frozes ... but I will use halion ... so that wont be a problem

Are you using the latest driver's version 3534f?

Yes ..... I downloaded the files today .... from an official mirror
I can record using cubase ... and play using halion ...
But Giga studio doesnt work at all .... It recognizes the gsif, I can choose from 1-2 outputs to 15-16 .... but no sound comes ... and I was able to use giga with my creative drivers (I dont wanna get back !!!)
So please .. if anyone here knows what to do help me !! i dont know how to use halion too

I had same problem until i installed latest version of gigastudio
kx gsif driver don't work with earlier versions of gigastudio
Try it

If you load big soundfont into KX, animated cursor stops for a quiet long time according to its size and windows seems frozen
Don't be too speed. Give kx the time and soundfont will load.

I am surprised you can use creative drv with gigastudio cause nemesys support says it doesn't due to excessive memory transfer through pci bus or something like that (not sure the exact reason).
I never seen a gsif driver in creative package.
Don't you make a confusion with gigasampler working with vxd driver?

It works for me, but my gigastudio version is 2.53. What is your version? Vikflash, it is possible to use gigastudio with regular creative drivers (without gsif). But you get latency...

Mine is version 2.50 .... im downloading the update right now ... I will re install my 2.50 version and give you some feedback =)

That's the problem
Kx gsif doesnot work with gig v2.50 or 2.51

It worked for me with latest 2.54
but may be it work 2.52 or 2.53 ; I did not try

I've got the same problem!!! Help!

I tried Gigastudio 2.50 and 2.53. I have the CT4620 10K1 chipset and use the latest KX driver 3534. Gigastudio recognises a GSIF driver but I hear no sound :-(

I use the default configuration. Is there anything I have to change in the routing !? Or is it maybe a bug in the KX driver. I hope it can be solved because I installed the driver for better gigastudio support.

BTW: the sound quality of the driver is much better than the quality of the SB live drivers, good work!!! But I have quite a lot small and larger issues with the drivers, maybe I'll post later about them...
