Can't find a thread about using the APS & kX drivers on the same machine
I have searched high & low but have been unable to find a thread relating to using to sblives in the same machine, one using the APS driver (which i prefer for soundfonts) and the other using the kX audio driver (to take care of the ASIO)...
Can anyone point me in the right direction please??? Cheers -=Knightrider=- |

apslive and kx
Hi
I wrote a few posts about this because I experienced it before KX had a gsif driver It works well and is easy to install I tried to find my threads but forum search engine was disabled by administrator. Anyway i encountered no specific problem to do it till kx v3533. (didn't try latest kx drv) The only thing, particularly if you use soundfonts with apslive 1.84 drv : I think they can't manage latest versions of a file called sfman32.dll (soundfont manager) installed by kx So may be you'll have to copy back the one from apslive package in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM after kx installation. Don't forget : apslive ====>> Win98SE only If you have any specific question. I will answer. Vik |

Thanks for your reply vikflash. I dont know what you meant by a 'gsif' driver but it seems like I can do what I was planning..
and yea, I'm running win98se. I hope the Mackie skin works with the latest kX drivers as the main reason for using the aps driver previously (apart from the soundfonts) was the intuitive interface of the mixer. Cheers -=Knightrider=- |
