Something else I have noiced:

The quality seems to have somehow gone down in the 36's.

Changing to another place within a track in media player results in a slight pop.
When I change the volume using the buttons on my multimedia keyboard - i get a pop for each step.
Load music seems to distort somewhat. (Slightly scratchy)

Has anybody else noticed this, or is it just me?

Observations done using Sennhiser headphones plugged into the live drive II.

I can't reproduce any of these using foobar2000 and Audigy2.

Yep, in Mediaplayer I get a slight pop(doesn't bother me), but no distortion or sound degradation.

Well, you are talking about Windows Media Player, true?

I have noticed that issue too. But I'm sure that the problem is in WMP, and not in the drivers. In example:

1- When changing to another place into a song, first the sound is off, and then it starts suddenly and a little pop can be heard.
2- When playing an empty "sound" (a 20" file generated with an aduio program), no pop is heard ...
3- And the final prove: In Foobar2000 no pop is heard when changing position. But instead a little "fade in" is heard.

And I get the ocassion to say that 3536a version works perfectly in my computer, but only if I disable Hyper Threading in BIOS.

DS pitch-shifting and looping audio crackling are still present on Op Flashpoint.

I can confirm that. Crackling, missing channels in 2.0, and inconsistent pitch-shifting.

Hi!

With WinAmp 3 there are no problems with any kx driver by changing track-positions or selecting new titles or wild switching between them - so this one may have better playback routines than mediaplayer!?!
So I never want to open mediaplayer anymore.

Cheers!

Another bug:

Play any sound file, drag an appropriate mixer up and down quickly - either in kX or the windows mixer.

You hear lots of small cracks and pops...

Can this be fixed?

The reason that there are no pop's/crack's present when switching track position in winamp is because it blends the track in to what it has been playing previously. - If not playing anything, it blends in from nothing.

It still might be a problem with kX...

>> You hear lots of small cracks and pops

this is not kX bug -- your system needs tweaking / re-configuring

>> DS pitchshifting

this is expected -- we need to find the bug in our present kX3D implementation (this might take time..)
