Another thing that could be done very well using wiki is writing a documentation for all the effects.

yep, this makes me a little bit sad, too... as for the Knowledgebase, I will update the site very soon -- and post some articles dealing with this 'kX Documentation Project' (you can read the 'drafts' here: http://www.kxproject.com/plans.php http://www.kxproject.com/beta.php) /Eugene |

Hey Eugene...
I'm going to start writing on some of the topics posted about earlier... but I'm having a problem and wanted to ask you about it... With some cards, when I try to switch Cubase to the kX ASIO driver, I get the error "ASIO Init Error: No Error" and it switches itself back to the ASIO multimedia driver. Is this a bug in the current driver revision, or Cubase, or the cards I'm using? Off I go to write... (/hijack) |

seems to be Cubase error there are two main modes of the kX ASIO driver: 48000 and 44100 (they are switched via kX ASIO Control Panel -- available in Cubase and in the kX Mixer system tray menu) certain Cubase versions fail to choose the appropriate mode and switch back to the MM driver playing with kX ASIO Control Panel & Cubase should solve the issue ![]() /E |

hi all,
I wrote a little document as a reminder about how to use kx and cubaseVST5.1 on an APS card (configuring the KxDSP mainly). limitations : - cubaseVST is not Sx - APS is not a common card but I guess they're close enough to be usefull. Since my personnal space is not working at the moment (f*** provider), it is not available yet for download, but I can upload it to anyone (480Kb). Is there anyone who have disk space on a server to store the users documentation in a single tank (say 10 or 20Mb) ? |

This is great. I've been writing about getting kX to work with Cubase SX 1.X. Someone needs to tackle Cubase SX 2.X, however, because they're different, and I can't get 2.X to work with my system here.
fvi, I'm glad you're covering that topic--it's rare, true, but I'm sure it will help someone. It seems now like the hardest part will be assembling all the different pieces of information together. I'd like also to set a standard format (PDF works great for me, but not everyone can create PDF files) but this probably doesn't need to be done until more is written. I would be happy to host things, but I do not have immediate access to my webserver, and upstream bandwidth is limited to 128kbps. (Eugene, thanks for the help!) If I could be so bold as to appoint myself "documentation collector", my email address is dr.napalm@attbi.com and anything under ~500k can be emailed to me no problem. (Bigger than that, talk to me first so we can arrange for me to be on a faster connection for it.) AIM name = NapalmLady, ICQ UIN = 29072454. Thanks all! |

I'm a web and graphic designer if that's of any help. Very fluid with CSS and Dreamweaver etc.
