Can't seem to get center/sub channel working in SBlive5.1

I just picked up a SB live 5.1. I installed the KX driver but I can't seem to get the center/sub channel working. My front and rear speakers work though. I played with the mixer but no luck. As I understand it the center/sub plug into the digital ouput (yellow plug) of my SBlive 5.1, but this plug seems to have only 3 connections to the PCB so how can you get a center and subwoofer channel which each use 2 cables when the plug has 3 connections? Well I'm not too good with this electronics mumbo jumbo but I'm thinking maybe I need a special plug?
