I seem to have a problem in that I cannot hear any sound when I click on a midi (.mid) file, no matter which program I use (eg Windows Media Player Magix Music Studio etc).
I updated my kx driver to 3534 to see if this would solve the problem but there was no effect. All other sounds are working fine and I cannot see any problems in the windows mixer applet, so could this be a routing problem? I'm baffled! Please help if you have any ideas! |

1. Reset kX's settings.
2. Load a GM Soundfont It will work. |

You're right it works!
But I still can't get the right sounds GM or GS? Can you help? I don't have a soundfont bank that will recreate the GS or GM sounds? Thanks! |

A New Free Soundfonts Site
Hi Lorus:
There's a new site that has free .sf2 files for download. All you have to do is register. The site is here: http://www.sf2-midi.com/ There are free GM/GS soundfonts there in the "download sf2" section. You can get a GM/GS soundfont from there. Sincerely, thomasabarnes |
