ACPI question
Hi,
I read the latest issues for Kx drivers and it says: # If you have ACPI-aware system you may need to disable it. Why is that? Can you explain with more details? How can I know if I will have to disable it or not? I have ACPI system and I am reluctant to disable ACPI in Windows XP because I never had any issues with it - it works perfectly stable.

Some of the links I provided in this thread have advice on which systems work well with ACPI and which ones don't work so well. Judge for yourself. http://www.hardwareheaven.com/showthre...threadid=30614 |

Then there is no way except to try it out and for that I will have to make dual boot with another Windows XP so as not to trash this one. Latest Creative drivers work fine for me (2ms latency in Cubase SX 2.01 or Nuendo 2.1 or Sonar 3.0 Producer Edition) but I would like to try kX drivers. I did once and I couldn't install them properly and had to reinstall Windows to get the Creative drivers to work.
