playing music vs line in

Im sure this is a simple thing...but for the life of me I cant figure it out....

I just downloaded the kx drivers for my soundblaster live card.....using sonar3 to record from line in...

In the creative software you could just select on your recorder options from wave or mic or line...etc..etc and just check the box you specificly wanted to record from....so you could play your project file and record the line in only.

Where Im having my problem is with the kx drivers I cant figure out how to separate the wave file from the line in....so when I play my project back Im in essence recording my sonar output along with my line in.

How do you make it so you only record the line in....?

someone help this n00b please/thx

In the Recording window, is your WAVE slider turned all the way down or muted when you try to record the second track?

You're using the default DSP?
