Interact MakoPad PC or Propad 6

That's what this thread's about...

I have the MakoPad PC gameport controller and i'm told that there are no native drivers available for Windows XP (due to Interact being absorbed by a larger company and not having any updates since 1999).

So then, I set my gameport to default "6-Button Gamepad" and All i'm getting is a Jittery / Unstable / Jumping Crosshair and a message that says "Device is not Properly Connected"

Could somebody help me out?
Is it an issue we can address within the kX gameport driver itself? Because i'm 100% sure that i've connected the pad properly. I've tried the factory drivers (for win98) as well as all generic windows presets
