I have spent several weeks playing with dsp settings of wonderful kx drivers.
But still can't understand CD playback volume. Whatever I do, only way to change CD volume is master volume slider... I have checked different cd-players and different setups, digital audio enabled/disabled in multimedia properties. Is there any possibility to have a slider that changes only CD volume, not affecting overall volume???With Creative drivers I had adjustable CD audio and digital volumes in every application and it worked! Also, I can't see any purpose for Wave/PCM slider in kx mixer! It does not change anything!? Never! Thank you and sorry about my English! Win98se+SBLive Platinum |

in 'digital' mode the CD volume is controlled both by Master and 'CD-Audio' volume (this one is found in the Windows Mixer -- sndvol32.exe). if you have your CD connected via digital or analog cable, you -should- be able to change the volume via the corresponding kX sliders (CD-SPDIF or AC97 In) provided you don't use 'digital extraction' (enabled in WinXP by default)

When not using digital extraction I can change CD playback volume (AC97 In slider), but only get sound from front left and right speaker... is it ok?
