Shoutcast/mic probs

Hi,

I installed the latest KX drivers and wow what a difference to the quality of sound, so a big thanx to the maker firstly.

The main reason for the install is a lack of driver support for the SB live 5.1 card i have from creative (its a SB0220 but i didnt realise that when i ordered it :/). I shoutcast broadcast a lot of games and use music and speech throughout these broadcasts, so its obviously important for me to be able to use the shoutcast plugin DSP with WA2/5.

Everything was fine before i installed the KX drivers, except a constant problem of the shoutcast plugin and my drivers clashing and then sending duff info to the SC server. The KX drivers dont do this, but I can only broadcast music via these drivers.

I did a search and have spent a couple of hours trying to figure this problem out, but to no avail.

When using the lock on the shoutcast plugin it does reduce the music level as it should, but the mic just doesnt get input to the shoutcast, regardless of the numerous things ive tried or changed. I tried searching this forum and whilst some things seemed to make sense, whatever i changed, nothing helped. I enabled AC97, i unmuted everything and changed levels to make sure they worked etc. I tried all of the AC97 outputs, although none of them made any difference.

I also cant seem to use Teamspeak any more either again regardless of enabling AC97 or anythign else for that matter. Music plays fine over teamspeak, but my clan seem to think that it would be better if they could hear me instead

Could someone please help me, as id like to be able to use these drivers for the significant improvement they give in sound quality and clarity.

Sorry, could you explain your problem more clearly... Are you unable to use your mic? Is this the only problem?

I am unable to get any output from my mic (although i can hear myself through the headphones when i talk, it doesnt actually relay my mic sounds to either Teamspeak or Shoutcast.

You should set your source on AC97 page to mic. Then on the recording page select AC97 as your input. If this doesn't work, check the cables.
