using profx - lose mixer functionality

Not sure whether this has been reported but when using the profx plugins such as SRC, k1lt/k2lt, ASIO instead of the prolog/fxbus/epilog combo -
you lose the mixer functionality, ie all sliders are missing except for wave/midi, ac 97 and a couple of the record sliders…
though this isnit such a great deal, is it possible to use the mixer to control the level of these profx plugins?

That is the correct behaviour, and one of the reasons I wrote those plugins.
Most 'serious' music users/applications never ever even use the standard kX Mixer applet.
Everything is (and can be) done in the DSP window. No need for Mixer applet, that's why they
are in the proFX section .So it's intentionaly written this way.

LeMury

So you are the responsible !

Well, let me tell you something

I am a big fan of SRC. From the user perspective is perfect (small and elegant tool)
The others are great to, but I don?t use them every minute as with the SRC.

I usually start with a SRC, effects and end in the epilog (mainly because I like to control the two pairs of monitors with the Mixer)

So, thanks to the responsible

BTW: I think SRC (as with other great small boxes in the DSP) need a bit more of Marketing, you get me, don?t you?. But well I understand the priorities.

I myself discovered SRC in what I call Hunting Safaris In The DSP Jungle.

Best Regards

By 'right-clicking->info' on a plugin, you can always see who to "blame"..

Yep, I understand, but we decided to "tuck" these "alternative" plugins in a seperate menu
to avoid confusion amongst newbies who (as it seems) have trouble enough understanding
the default DSP setup/items wich is/are kind of "fool proof".

But feel free to "advertise" your experiences/setups with these plugins here on the forum.
That is one way how the "marketing" works. Right here on the forum

Well, maybe is a bit late for it since you have started in Good_Old_Way with the DSP.

But I had write a DSP tutorial half a year ago and if you like I could send it to you.
And all the exercises are around the SRC (See LeMury ! )

Warnings:
1-it?s a Word file with lots of pictures (2.3 MB)
2-You have to be a bit tolerant with the Humor of the file (I done it waiting for an airplane to pick me up out of Oil field in the middle of no where)
3-You could use it in any way you like (if you like to take parts of it for your own starter guide, you could do it)
4- Will not find any super high tech setups , just simple thing shown step by step to illustrate the logic of the DSP

If you have a public e-mail on your web page I will send it there. Just tell me.
