PowerDVD / WinDVD SPDIF problems

Hi everyone!

First of all, great drivers! I installed them as I started using Cubase and they truly deliver low latency for VST! Suddenly my Soundblaster 5.1 Live Platinum feels like a pro sound card!

The only problem I'm having now is with my DVD's. I use an optical cable from the "Platinum" side to a Pioneer Receiver DTS-ES (VSX-D811S) and SPDIF audio configuration in the software DVD players (i.e. Power DVD 5) but as soon as the video starts playing, it freezes

I've tried to configure KX mixer with 5.1 speakers, and select all SPDIF 1,2 and 3 with the same result. Only Off works fine, but of course I hear just old plain stereo, and I miss my beautiful DTS sounds ! What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

BR,
/Milikito

unfortunately AC-3 passthrough does not work on the Live! (10k1) cards yet, it may be fixed in v 3538 when it is released

the methods to allow ac3 passthrough on 10k1 boards is very tricky, and partly a trial and error process that can take quite a while

i'mn ot sure Eugene has the time to do this
