AC 97 recording source problem
Hi.
Still having a problem which I had since I started using KX drivers back in January. When selecting any AC97 recording source, the drivers mutes all other AC97 sources for PLAYBACK. Since I want to record a source on AUX while listening to a source on LINE IN, I really need this to work. If I choose STEREO MIX as recording source I can hear all AC97 sources playing, but then of course all AC97 sources also gets recorded which is undesirable. With the Creative drivers I can get this to work, but the KX drivers are superior in all other ways so I really want this to work. /Andy Creative Live 5.1 Digital Windows XP Prof. MSI MS-6330 Mobo (Via Chipset) Duron 700 CPU 768 MB PC-100 SDRAM Elsa Riva TNT2 32 MB |

ok firstly… i think it IS possible to listen to one source… but you MUST have the record source set in the AC-97 Record From menu… increase the level of AUX & Line, and in the I/O window increase the level of the AC-97 fader… http://www.angelfire.com/electronic2...gettingstarted
look there for details on how to do some of this
