dsp presets

ahoy
does anyone know of any websites that one could download/upload their dsp presets for others to use? i think it might help some people getting starting, as they could download the preset for what they want then check out the dsp and router to see how its actually done.

as example, i'd like to use my audigy 2 oem card for recording 4 tracks, that way i could have drums, keyboards, bass and trumpet all on seperate channels. it would make editing tunes much easier. the only bad thing about my example is i don't know how to do that! lol
if i did, i'd definitly post my preset for others to download and use.

what does everyone else think?

ps. kx driver rocks! far superior to creative

There was discussion sometime back about this. The problem with presets, or better yet, configurations for the dsp, is that not everyone has the same model card. That causes incompatability across setting sharing.

Only way for that to really work, is if the poster put alternative configs or clearly labeled screenshots, so people can make adjustments accordingly.

I do believe however, that it would be a great learning tool for people just starting with kx. Having somewhat of a barebones approach to building dsp setups.

I think posting screenshots is a brilliant idea. It gets the idea across without compatability issues between different cards.

And having something to look at is a great way for people to learn.

Is it possible for driver heaven to host these pics? Or if anyone else has a server, people could start sending pics in.

I would send some in, but I'm still on the default setup

System Specs

it may be possible to use the knowledgebase… i think in a future kX Version this will be a possibility w/o the compatibility issues

Another vote for a screenshot folder in the knowledge base

Seeing where the lines are drawn in the dsp, with perhaps a little explanatory text, would be of enormous help to noobs like me... Plus the dsp shots wouldn't be card-specific...
