noise/murmur/rustle recording with AC97
hi.
I use a SB audigy and a sennheiser headset with the latest kx-driver (kx3737). I set up the mic accordingly to the guide on the kx-page and it is even working. but I got constant noise mixed into the record. even if I unplug the microfon! :\ I made some tests and checked with another mic, tried the original creative drivers *cough*, checked if the mic-boost or another input sources could cause the noise... but I didn't find anything helpful ![]() only thing I can say is, when I mute AC97-input the noise is gone ![]() anyone got an idea what's wrong? I cant imagine that the mic-input of the audigy is that bad. there must be something fuxx0red.. at least I hope so ![]() thx in advance PS: ye posting is a bit off topic. pls forgive me ;> |

the noise is caused by the noisy ac-97 codec, a noise gate in the DSP may help you
