Smilie Surround + kX

Hey, I just installed the latest kX drivers and the sound is just incredible. No comparison against the creative drivers. I have an audigy gamer ( http://us.creative.com/products/prod...y=&product=237 ) and a set of logitech X-620 speakers ( http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/pr...CONTENTID=7169 ) and I can't seem to get the full surround thing happening with the drivers. I can set it so the front three + sub work or the back three + sub but not all six + sub. My card is a 5.1 config and the speakers are 6.1 but there is a selector on the speaker which allows me to use 5.1 but that doesnt work. Is there something in the driver ctrl panel i need to change? Any help would be appreciated

the speaker system *should* be able to upmix any stereo system… but is it a rear centre speaker you have?

Front Left
Front Right
Front Center
Rear Left
Rear Right
Rear Center
Subwoofer

thats how its setup, but I found the 'speaker setup' tab and set it to 5.1 and now its working perfectly

Another question though; for headphones. I use headphones when playing games and I noticed that the surround sound still remains. Is there a way to set it for headphones? Cause it drives me nuts hearing my cartiges hitting the floor behind me and turning around expecting an enemy.

alright save your setting for the surround sound, right click the mixer and save all settings as "surround"
then set the surrounder to 2.1 and save as "headphones"
