Sounblaster Live! on Windows XP
I have Soundblaster Live! 5.1 soundcard. Now I am using Windows XP and I I experienced a strange problem - I noticed that with the same KX driver and the same options it sounded way lot better on Windows 98. I can't understand why the sound quality decreased on XP, maybe you can help me?

I mean that sound was clearer and with less distortion at high volume. Also: I enabled Bass redirection (I'm using the latest driver), but it still isn't working - bass is played through the main and rear speakers. I think that's is the problem. How can I enable Bass Redirection !?

Also keep in mind that Bass Radirection only works with 5.1 and up speakers. So if you have 4.1 you can't really use it.

it will still reduce the bass sent to standard stereo/quadraphonic speakers, which may be what is causing the distortion at high volumes
