KX Audigy/No Inputs?

Hi guys...
Perhaps you can help me?

I've been running the KX drivers for a couple of years now, no probs - with my SB Audigy Plat card.

Worked on my P2, Duron, But now with my Athalon xp 220 i cant get any external inputs to work even after re-install????
The sliders for the inputs all stateinf and always revert to the zero position?

No mic in, No line in (analogue)

I'm at the end of my tether!!!

It's probably somthing simple but i cant work it out?
Heeeeeeeeeeelp!

click the single dark-grey circle below the slider. This unmutes the fader
