Microphone bypassing everything
hello, i have a creative microphone ( came with the sound card ) which i normally used for messenger A/V chats and teamspeak, now with kx drivers mic just acts on its own, the only slider that affects its volume its the mic slider on the ac 97' page, not even the master output slider can affect its volume, on creative drivers worked fine, so i doubt the jack is broken
maybe a DSP config i can add/change to handle this problem? (the guide didn't work, due to the nature of my problem) Thanks |

connect the ac-97 connectors on the prolog to the recl/r connectors on the epilog, and disconnect the ac-97 connectors from the xrouting

seems that the guide only applies to 2.0/1 setups. still the same problem...it just goes by, if at least i could get windows to gather some of that mic input

Yup sblive and 5.1 speakers
Whatever config i make to the sliders/dsp, the only thing that actually manages the mic volume is the ac97 mic slider, but still, it goes right through the computer on to the speakers, rendering impossible to me to record/use it on windows apps |

re-initialize your DSP - right click the dsp and choose the option
then disconnect the ac-97 inputrs in the prolog from the xrotuing and then connect those ac97 inputs directly to the redl/r in the epilog

What is the Redl/r? Is that the Rec L and Rec R? I connected the ac97's to those and still have the mic feeding through. Please help!
I found the solution, just follow the mic setup faq, but in the ac97 section leave the microphone muted. Last edited by kail; Aug 27, 2004 at 08:05 AM. |
