I've read almost every bit of documentation either here or on the media center forum, and I'm still no closer to setting up the drivers to allow me three separate stereo outputs from my SB Live 5.1 Digital.
I have tried playing around with the kxRouter, kxDSP and kxMixer, I've set things up in Surrounder, nothing seems to work! In the speaker test, I can only test the front and rear speakers, not the center or sub - what am I doing wrong? If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated. |

In the KX Mixer, try activating: "Route Headphones to Center and Subwoofer", that is the option with the headphone icon. This shares digital and analog out, you just must switch to choose between them.
Rivera Edit: By the way, these are pins 6 and 7 on the Epilog, in the DSP section. Last edited by Rivera; Jul 21, 2004 at 02:05 PM. |

I have done some testing on my sound card, and it is only outputting from the green output, no matter what I configure in the router and dsp.
Help! |

I've just downloaded and installed the latest (non alpha) drivers from the website - think they're 3537? - which has improved things - I now have 5.1 speakers in the speaker test page, and have managed to get an output from the orange connector (top connector of the card) which appears to be tied to the center/subwoofer channel (which makes sense).
However, I am unable to get any output from the black connector on the card. I have tried toggling the "swap front/rear" option, but that just lets me hear either the front or rear through the green connector, and I can't get the black connector to do anything. Any ideas? |

That's what kxdriver reports, so yes it seems so.
Under the old drivers is was reported as a kx generic. Fingers crossed for a fix in the next release. |
