EAX and THX in kX?
I've downloaded KX drivers a couple days ago and wonder how they deal with EAX (upto version 4.0) and THX modes. Can anyone explain me is there any support for these cool sound features? I wasn't able to find any mentioning about it in the mixer console and in the description of the drivers.

there is currently no support for EAX effects, and afaik THX is a standard, not a set of effects (correct me if i am wrong)

Damn! This is VERY, VERY bad. I love these drivers, but I am not a musician, I ame a gamer, so I need EAX and THX badly... Any chance EAX and THX will be available in the closest release?

THX
If you own an audigy 2 card you have THX. THX is part of Lucusfilm (star wars and Indiana Jones) and is a certification from them that what you buy has been tested and it meets a certain criteria in terms of audio fidelity. Do you mean Dolby Digital because the kx drivers support that but not Dolby Digital EX.

Yeah, I have Audigy 2 ZS sound card and I am not very familiar with architecture of the drivers. I am just trying to understand does kx support EAX and THX. If not, then I'll be forced to roll-back to Creative drivers. However I DO like kx a lot.

If your only going to use your card for gaming i'd recomend sticking to the creative drivers. In my case im a casual gamer who likes to listen to music and whatching DVD's and the kx drivers are better for me because they give better audio quality. I don't see how the kx project could support EAX as they would probably have to pay royalties to creative. As i said before THX is just a certification or stamp of approval and has nothing to do with drivers. You don't need THX drivers to play a THX certified game or movie as it just meens lucasfilm have listened to it said the sound is good enough and charged the company a royalty fee to put the THX logo on it.
