Martin W is on a distinguished road

Pissed VSTi only - snap, crackle and pop.

Hi,

I've got Edirol Orchestral loaded into Logic Audio as a VSTi and i'm getting horrendous crackle from it. I also use Soundfonts at the same time and have no problem with these. Occasionally the audio when listening to music in media player or something crackles too.

I've tweaked and tweaked and messed about but can't find anything to get rid of it. This wasn't a problem with the old creative drivers. My latancy is already around 17ms. Any higher and it will become unacceptable.

I'm using an Audigy 2 with AMD Athlon XP Processor. Any help getting rid of the rice crispies would surely earn you a place in heaven!

Thanks,

Martin

System Specs

edirol orchestral is extremely memory and CPU intensive - you will need to increase the latency of logic's ASIO driver

boosting the amount of ram your machine has (mine has 1gb) should help - also, what is the clock speed of your CPU?
