kxCtrl Magic possible ?

Does anybody know IF and HOW it is possible to switch effect-presets with kxCtrl ???
I have an 10-band Equalizer and saved some presets I made, and now I want to be able to switch between them with my remote... To achieve that, I'm using a remote-program which I can let do about anything upon pressing a button on my remote... So, I think easiest would be to simply let it invoke kxCtrl with the right parameters to switch the preset...
Can something like that be achieved with kxCtrl or should I look for another (probably more complicated) solution ???
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Hi!

Right click kX tray, go to automation - then a window opens - on left side all your applied DSP effects, select one (eq) and the register you want to automate, on right side choose a midi-event and specify it. Then generate this event with your remote program and route it to kX-control output. If the event is sent, then your specified register on *eq* will follow.

Greetings!

Thanx for the quick replies...
DJ Stick's method doesn't work for me because only a human can do it like that, unless I use a macro recorder type of program and make a macro of those mouse-actions which is cumbersome and Not really preferable because different users can be logged on, and I want it to work regardless of that... With macro's, I'll be interfering with the person working at the PC at the moment I touch my remote... ;-)
TravelRec's method is already alot better, but not really what I want either, because it would mean using the presets is useless, because I would have to program each EQ-slider to a midi-event and then issue all those midi-events on pressing a key on my remote... Also, when I'm recording MIDI I would be recording those remote-events too... No, ssems my question wasn't put entirely clear, I'll try again...
Right now, I'm using a few 10-band EQ's in the DSP, for example 1 for small speakers EQ, 1 for Headphones, 1 for Big speakers... Right now, I'm using automation (remote-program) which triggers the commandline program kxCtrl to switch the 1 EQ on and the others off... Since iI have each EQ-preset saved I wonder if I simply could switch the preset instead of turning a EQ on or off... If it's possible, I simply could use only 1 EQ (Saving me enough Tram space to add a cool Reverb the same way) instead of using 3 EQ's set to different presets...
Still, TravelRec's method would work like this, but without using the presets and I would have to build each preset with the remote-program (which I could but is alot of work and cumbersome).... Also, changes to the presets would mean I have to make the same adjustments in the remote-program... Since I can use kxCtrl to bypass an effect or to turn it on or off, I really wonder if I can use it also for switching presets...

As far as I can see from kxctrl's source code, switching presets is not supported by kxctrl.exe.
But that does not mean that it's not possible.
The ikx interface (see SDK) has quite some features.
