q about recording with the EMU-APS
I have a question about a specific problem with my othervise excelent kxdrivers. I use a (not emulated but physical) EMU-APS sound-card, and have begun recording guitar and vocals using the front panel. The problem in question is that I only am able to record in stereo using both the A3/A4 channels, which results in a monorecording in the left or right of the stereospectrum. Instead I would like for the recording to be either in mono for either A3 or A4, or perhaps even in stereo using only one of two channels.
Is there an easy way of getting around this problem, perhaps something obvious that I've missed? Thanks in advance.

afaik those inputs are mono, in your software (Depending on sequencer or wave shaper)
(sequencer)you will need to load a new audio channel as mono, or convert an exisiting one to mono (wave shaper) load a new file and set it to mono

thanks for the reply. It would still be great if I would be able to not use the A3 / A4 separatly as it is intended. But it's not a catastrophy if it's not possible.

i think those two inputs are mono - not stereo like line in ports on a soundblaster…

Same problem, need a better answer
I have the same problem with my "actual" EMU APS. With the Creative drivers I could use A3 and A4 separately as mono ins and set the mono signal anywhere within the stereo field by a panning control in the GUI. Considering how powerful the Kx drivers are, it seems a rather silly oversight and reduces the utility of the APS for home studio recording. Of course, there's a chance I'm missing something, but I've searched the helpfiles, knowledge base, and forum and this is the only thread remotely addressing the shortfall.

Exactly. Just make corresponding reconnections in kX DSP. (like "connect A4 of the prolog to ASIO0/1 of the epilog and A4 of the prolog to ASIO2/3 of the epilog" and vuala)
