Gigastudio problems

I'm not sure at all where this should go, because I'm not even sure whether this is kX-related or not. Anyway: I've been using the kX drivers for a while now, and they have been working wonderfully for the most part. Thanks a lot for the hard work!
Many of my friends, who also use gigastudio, but not with kX, don't have this problem, but I, using kX have always had: Sometimes when I start GS, it just doesn't play anything. It seems like it doesn't detect any midi data or clicks on the keyboard at all. Sometimes it works if i simply restart GS, but usually it doesn't, and I have to reboot the whole system.
I thought it might have something to do with the GSIF driver or something. I have tried reinstalling the whole operating system, but it did not help, so my only guess is that it sometimes simply conflicts with something. Is this a known problem?

GigaStudio 2.54.00, kX "Version: 5, 10, 00, 3537 - debug Compiled: Feb 17 2004 00:46:58", SB0222, Win XP SP2 (used to have it with SP1 as well)
