SB Live! 5.1

hi... i'm using sb live! 5.1 card... and after i installed kx driver.. it shows 'KX Generic' at device menu ... what is that???

2nd... my rear output is not function after i installed this driver.... before this... the rear output is ok... can anyone help me???

Did you set your speaker comfiguration?..

Once after a reinstallation, one of my cards was being recognized as GENERIC also. This was a card that was formerly recognized as CT4832. I ended up removing that device in CONTROL PANEL, shutting down and switching PCI slots. Eventually the card was recognized by it's model name.

i'm not sure which model and also don't know where to check my card's model... but i've tried reinstall the driver again and it still same...

i've checked at device manager... it shows KX 10k1 Audio - Generic ... is it a problem or nothing??

dj_stick, you asked if the card is a SB022x. Are there known issues about those cards? Mine is a SB0220 and I've experienced problems: "Kx Generic" identification, Center/Subwoofer absent no matter the correct 5.1 surround setting. The strange thing is that I've two SB0220 and only one has problems with Kx drivers. Do you think it's matter of driver bugs or a lack of DB information?

try moving the card to another PCI slot, so the m/b and cmos rescans it properly

i got another question bout' this card.... what is the best output should i use to get the best sound for critical listening??? especially when i'm doing my mixing work... front out, rear out or digital out??? thanks...
